Breakfast on a Thursday in October brought us to the Marktschank in Schenkenfelden and its tables of business owners from across Urfahr-Umgebung.
Regional firms like these are the ones our software practice builds for, from websites to the booking platform we designed and delivered for a wellness business. Software for a small firm starts at a table like this one, with knowing the firm.
GUUTE is a network of more than 600 businesses in Urfahr-Umgebung, the district just north of Linz, and its breakfast, run with the Economic Chamber office for the district, moves from town to town. In its invitation the chamber promised that ninety minutes would be enough to meet a great many firms, and to be met by them. Some 60 business owners came, and the chair of the citizens' cooperative that built the Marktschank spoke on bringing a town centre back to life.
Cards came home from GUUTE's own management and from a company that services forklifts. That is where knowing a firm begins.
