An Oktoberfest evening with the young entrepreneurs of Wels
The Junge Wirtschaft Wels followed its board election with an Oktoberfest evening at Gasthof Gruber in Gunskirchen, and we spent it among the young firms of the region.

At five, the Junge Wirtschaft Wels elected its district board at Gasthof Gruber in Gunskirchen, with Hanna Maria Thallinger as chair. By six the network had moved on to its Oktoberfest. We came for the evening.
Founders and young business owners make up the Junge Wirtschaft, their own network inside the Upper Austrian Economic Chamber. A young firm soon needs a website, a way to take bookings and something sturdier than its first spreadsheet. Our software practice builds that next layer for firms at that stage.
That morning we had been at breakfast in Schenkenfelden, up in the Mühlviertel. Wels keeps calling us back, to the KLS trade days at Messe Wels this autumn and to an IT breakfast at Schloss Puchberg with a client.
Software is easiest to build for a firm while it is young, before its spreadsheets harden into habit.
