Friday at the KLS Fachtage put the insurance claim on stage: an assessor from Experta on vehicle scanners in claims handling, then DEKRA Automobil's managing director on the road from damage report to finished repair.
Before a car is fixed, its claim passes between the workshop and the insurer, often through an assessor too. Our software practice builds the internal tools that carry handoffs like that for the firms we advise.
We spent the second day at Messe Wels, where JU.connects ran the trade days of Austria's body and paint repair business with the support of the WKO's national guild for vehicle technology. Around 1,200 trade visitors came over the two days to meet 80 exhibitors, and a talk on robots in the paint shop drew an especially large crowd.
Cards came home from a builder of paint booths in Styria and a Viennese workshop outfitter. We talked shop at a supplier's stand.
On a panel, workshop masters urged colleagues to photograph every step of a repair, so the insurance claim goes through without trouble. A body shop is judged on its paintwork, and its claim on the record behind it.
