Situation
Solarvie, a Vienna-based PV wholesaler, was developing a 4.5 MW battery-storage project in Germany while the German storage market grew by half in a single year.
Complication
The commercial case depended on equipment choices in a market where prices and availability moved monthly. Scoping had to hold against a moving supply base.
Resolution
ASE ran the commercial scoping and supply coordination inside the firm’s solar supply-chain work, evaluating suppliers across panels, inverters and storage before commitments were made.

Project economics, sizing assumptions and commercial structure for the 4.5 MW storage project, stated explicitly so the client could challenge them. The scoping treated German grid-connection queues and equipment lead times as first-order commercial variables, not footnotes, because in 2024 they moved project timelines more than price did.
Supply coordination
Supplier evaluation spanning panel, inverter and storage manufacturers, coordinated with the wholesaler’s existing supply relationships. Candidates were compared on delivered cost, warranty substance and bankability rather than list price, and the evaluation was documented so the choice could be defended to financing partners.
